Luyen Chou

Fly fishing has been an obsession for Luyen since he was a kid spending summers on the east end of New York’s Long Island. Today, based in Brooklyn and East Hampton, his “local waters” extend from the nearshore waters of the New York Bight and Jamaica Bay, the Peconics, Montauk, Block Island, as well as in nearby offshore bluewater. Luyen has also spent time fishing farther-flung destinations around the world (including pursuing big-eye tuna on the fly in Hawaii and rainbow trout on bamboo poles in China - the latter a story for another time!) A passionate fly tyer and photographer, Luyen loves teaching people to fly fish, and instilling a passion for fishing in newcomers to the sport.

Tom Kosinski

Tom Kosinski's passion for saltwater fishing began at a young age after catching his first striped bass with his father while fishing the Navesink River. Throughout the years, Tom gravitated toward surfcasting and traveled all over New England in search of a trophy from the suds, Tom has found a passion for chasing various species on fly and light tackle from his boat. From pursuing giant stripers on Raritan Bay in the early spring to sight fishing the flats of New England in the summer, Tom is always on the water. During the off-season, Tom finds himself exploring tropical flats, and tying flies. Tom is actively involved with the Saltwater Guides Association (ASGA), which promotes sustainable business through conservation.
